Always a good time! Good food and entertainment
This fair gets better and better every year. We will stop going to the big E next year which feels like the same thing every time and potentially come to Durham two days. This year they had a full scale roller coaster in the rides area, I couldn't believe it.
How can I put in negative stars! My first and last visit to this fair. It was an absolute nightmare from the minute I parked the car. Stood in line to get on a shuttle bus . Sat on an unairconditioned schoolbus for well over an hour as we inched our way in traffic to get in the fair. Stood in line to pay a very high price to get in the grounds ,which is mostly made up of repetitive food vendors.All on a very steep hill.After catching the last couple songs of the concert. (The reason we came)(missed most of the show because of the horrible bus ride) I stood in line for 1hour 25 minutes to get back on the shuttle bus back to my car. Absolute nightmare! Never again!!!
In a few days u will have the opportunity to go here and coming from someone who has lived in durham his whole life and gone all but one year, 2015 (the year of the stupid ass elephant) if u want a country fair in ct the best options are Hebron or haddam neck (although this year their already over) the durham fair is overly corporate now.. All they lack are the clowns and it could be a circus.. Oh thats right the clowns are on the committee i forgot..
Always fun at the fair with many different vendors and endless food options. There's also a huge space for rides.
